“The Martins have been in the linen business for three generations. Jesse “Dakotah” Martin took it a step further and decided to start his own business, built on a strong foundation of family values and integrity. In 1960, his grandfather, Jesse G. Martin Sr., started as a route driver for a linen service. He worked his way up the ladder until he was promoted to Vice President. He retired in 2000 after 40 years of service in the linen industry.

Dakotah’s father, Jesse G. Martin Jr., followed in his father’s footsteps and started as a linen route driver. Jesse Jr. worked his way up and became a successful linen salesman, serving in this role for almost 25 years. Jesse Jr. didn’t have much interest in crunching numbers but loved selling, so he was not interested in any promotions that were offered.

Dakotah, like his father and grandfather before him, started as a linen route driver. After a few years, he was promoted to sales associate for his father, and shortly after that, was promoted to a salesperson position. He loved this role and became very passionate about linens and even more passionate about helping customers get the best linen service.

Jesse Jr. had always dreamed of starting his own linen business, and that dream rubbed off on Dakotah. Today, Dakotah, Paul (his father-in-law), and his dad Jesse Jr. are making that dream a reality. Whereas Jesse Jr. did not have any interest in crunching numbers or budget meetings, Paul has spent years crunching numbers as a Senior Project Manager and is very good at what he does. The three men make the perfect linen business team, leaning on each other’s strengths.”
